Throughout the year, the Learning Center holds a series of contests, intended to give students at Berklee the opportunity to showcase their talents while competing for prizes. These contests are designed to illustrate the creative potential that can be achieved by utilizing music software available in the Learning Center and on students' laptop computers. Past events have included the Iron Chef and Sound Collage competitions, where contestants mixed and manipulated audio samples to create a piece of music. Also, for our annual Film Scoring contest, students are given a film produced by the Learning Center to compose music for. Past prizes have included music software and Apple iPods.
