We just keep expanding! This year's Audio for Film Networking Event had three times as many people as last year, drawing in almost 200 people, and well over 100 filmmakers and film students from the New England area. Berklee film composers, audio engineers and sound designers had the opportunity to showcase their talents and mingle with filmmakers at the first ever Audio for Film Expo, and dozens of interesting discussion topics were raised during the composers panel and filmmakers discussion which lead to three very successful focus small groups. The topics covered during the focus groups included the business side of the film industry, from contracts to unions, royalties and negotiations, and the technical side of composing for film, including software and hardware capabilities and economically rendered orchestral pieces using sampling technology. The entire event served as a great spring board for beggining these discussions between composers and filmmakers in the New England area. Stay involved by joining our Facebook group here.
