The mission of the Peer Tutoring program
at Berklee College of Music is to provide one-on-one assistance to
students in order to help them reach their potential. To insure the
success of our mission, Tutoring Services will provide Berklee students
with qualified student tutors. The Peer Tutoring program acts as a
supplement to, not a replacement of, classroom learning, discipline and
good study habits. Tutoring sessions are appointment-based, however
walk in sessions can also be arranged depending on the availability of
the tutors. Peer tutors who reflect the diversity of students on campus
are selected, trained, and supervised by the Coordinator of Tutoring
Services to assist students to excel in their enrolled courses. To
ensure that the tutors receive valuable teaching experience and the
individual needs of students are met, the coordinator works closely
with the faculty, administration, tutors, and the students receiving
assistance.
