Rewiring Reason to Logic Express or Logic Pro

Rewiring Reason to Logic lets you use both applications together. First launch Logic, then launch Reason (very important - if you launch Reason first this will not work!). You’ll know it’s set up correctly when the hardware interface displays Rewire Slave Mode.

At this point, Reason’s audio is routed to Logic, but you must create an aux track in Logic to capture the audio. In Logic’s mixer, click the + button to add an aux track and set the assignments to stereo, and input from Reason Mix L-R.

To send MIDI data to Reason from Logic, create an external MIDI track for each device in Reason. Click the + button in the arrange window.

Assign the external MIDI track to your Reason device in the library.

That should take care of setup. To learn more, sign up for a class or a peer training session at learningcenter.berklee.edu/training
