The contemporary producer has a variety of tools at their disposal to write songs and craft their music. Many production workflows take a hybrid approach, combining recorded instruments with MIDI tracks and utilizing a wide variety of hardware and software. In this event, we will produce a track from scratch and showcase how to record audio, sequence MIDI tracks and incorporate analog synthesizers and drum machines into your productions.

This presentation will look at various aspects of what it takes to be an audio professional in the game industry. Matteo Stronati '11, Lead Sound Designer at Riot Games, makers of League of Legends, will discuss the skills that are needed to be an effective game audio designer, as well as the roles and responsibilities that game sound designers are called upon to cover in the industry today. Matteo will share excerpts from his experience as a professional and provide tips on how to get into the industry.
