Join us for a clinic on the use of Apple Logic X in contemporary music production. Topics discussed will include:

  • Creating the ultimate production template
  • Build the ultimate beat making template (using NI’s Battery 4)
  • Tuning percussion
  • The benefit of smart arranging in achieving maximum headroom
  • Variety and layering
  • Intro to expressive digital synthesis (envelope modulation, mono vs. poly)
  • Use of sound design and FX in creating drops and more
  • Risers and their use to create suspense
  • Call and response in production and crafting memorable hooks
  • Creative use of Logic’s sampler
  • Brief introduction to new features and plug-ins in Logic Pro X 10.4

Born and raised in Mashhad, Iran and having lived in Dubai, UAE, Keyhan Kamelian is a classically trained Iranian Jazz pianist, composer, sound designer and producer currently based in Boston MA. Keyhan graduated magna cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a BA in Electronic Production & Design and a minor in Audio Design for Video Games in May of 2017.
