Tuesday, November 13, 2018 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm
150 Mass Ave, Media Center

co-sponsored by the Music Business/Management and the Career Center.

Presented by:

Music Business Management Attorneys Valerie Lovely, Esq. and Tonya Butler, J.D., LL.M.

Session I – How to Work with Producers  6:00pm-7:15pm

If you’ve ever worked with, or plan to work with a music producer, now is your chance to ask the hard questions: How much of my song or my recording will the producer own? How do we determine and divide our contributions? How should the producer be compensated on the back-end? And many, many more.  Bring your questions and leave with everything you need to know and then some.

Session II – How to Register your Copyrights 7:30pm-8:45pm

Have you written or recorded an original song?

Do you understand what it means to own or to register your copyrights?

Well bring your laptops because we’re not only going to TELL you how to do it, we’re going to SHOW you how to do it: step-by-step.

To RSVP, go to the Berklee Career Manager under the Workshops tab.
