Live Sampling and Remix Techniques with Mark de Clive-Lowe

Join us as well-known pianist, composer/producer, remixer Mark de Clive-Lowe demonstrates his live performance/production setup and breaks down how he uses technology as a creative tool, incorporating Native Instrument's Maschine along with a variety of synths and processing devices.  He is a leading voice in 'on the fly' production and remixing.  Mark combines his love for jazz and production of electronic music and blends genres with refined creative expression and an impressive technical workflow.  Mark has worked with artists such as Harvey Mason, Pino Palladino, Illa J, Sheila E, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Kenny Dope, DJ Spinna along with companies such as Native Instruments, and many more.

Short bio:

Half Japanese, half New Zealander pianist, composer, live remixer and producer Mark de Clive-Lowe has been LA based since 2008. Equal parts composer, jazz musician, found-sound remixer and club music producer, he tours his multi-faceted live show in both solo and band setups internationally. He has released over a dozen albums and hundreds of collaborations and remixes creating with musicians, artists and DJs from all around the world. His critically acclaimed club night CHURCH has seen him on stage with multiple generations of the world’s most respected jazz, soul and hip hop artists, and his recent projects see him doing a deep dive into his Japanese heritage, interpreting it through the lens of jazz and electronica. In 2016, Mark live remixed the legendary Blue Note Records Catalog in the release, Blue Note Remixed Vol. 1.
